6th Grade Families - Message from School Nurse:
- Please be sure to review the email sent recently to all 6th grade families regarding vaccinations required by the state of Ohio for incoming 7th grade students. If you have any questions regarding your child, please reach out to our Akron Children’s Hospital school nurse, Amanda Hitchcock, at msclinic@hudson.k12.oh.us or 330-653-1314.
Medication Pick Up and Drop Off Information - Message from School Nurse:
- Medication Pick up: Medication can be picked up in the clinic on the last day of school May 29th, from 7:30 am until 4:00 pm. Students can pick up their own emergency medication, such as inhalers and epi-pens, from the clinic at the end of the day on May 29th. Parents will need to pick up their student’s daily medications. Any prescription medication not picked up by May 29th at 4:00pm will be locked in a safe and inaccessible until Open House in the fall. This is an Akron Children’s Hospital policy to protect who has access to your child’s medication. All OTC medication and expired medication left in the clinic will be discarded.
- Medication drop-off for the 2026-2027 school year will be Monday August 17th, 12pm-3pm. Students are not permitted to drop off medication; it must be done by the parent/guardian. Please see the link below to access any forms needed for medication drop off. Prescription medications should be brought in in the original bottle, require a doctor's signature and parent’s signature, state the dose, timing and frequency the medication is to be taken. No more than 30 days of medication should be brought in at a time. Forms and medication should arrive together. Please make sure medication is not expired. Here is the link for any medication forms you may need
A Reminder from our District's Nutrition Services Department:
- As we near the end of the year, we want to share a quick reminder about lunch accounts: If a lunch balance is negative, students will only be able to purchase a school breakfast or lunch until the balance is paid.
- Items other than the published menu for our school breakfast or lunch are unable to be purchased with a negative account balance.
- Parents/guardians, if you need assistance, please let our Nutrition Services department know.
- Any positive funds remaining on the account will automatically transfer to next year.
Thank you for your understanding and thank you to our amazing kitchen staff who take such great care of all of us every day!
