Week of September 30, 2024
Wednesday was World SMILE Day! A HUGE THANK YOU to our 8th grade Band for kicking off our day with a smile...greeting our students with music and ENERGY! And thank you to our amazing band directors, Mr. Rodesh and Mr. Burrington!
Congratulations and THANK YOU to our September Students Making a Difference, for making our school kinder, friendlier, and more inclusive...and for being amazing role models for all. We appreciate you!
Thank you to Mrs. Wilkerson for talking with our 6th graders about Words Matter, a presentation on the power of words. Students were encouraged to be upstanders together, focused on kindness and empathy…and a sense of belonging.
8th Grade LA students explore dramatic irony, with a fun class activity!
Students are working independently in groups and then checking their work with their math class “homebase.” Lots of great math talk, with students sharing their thinking with one another.
Light Up the World with Kindness! We LOVE the window display on our Guidance Office, with ideas to spread kindness in our building, homes, and community! Choose Kindness Month!

Great hours! Outstanding people!

The role is part-time daily from 8:30am - 1:00pm. We also have options for shorter hours if that works with your schedule better.

The role may include food prep and serving, as well as cashier. It’s a great way to interact with our students, during this important time in their day.
-
If you know of anyone who might consider this role, please reach out to them to share about this opportunity. You may know a retired friend, a recent graduate, or someone thinking about re-entering the workforce. Thank you so much for helping to spread the news.
-
Anyone interested can apply via our district website under Job ID 2580 (HMS Food Service) or Job ID 2038 (Food Service sub).
-
We also have substitute roles available, for those who need a little more flexibility.
