Week of March 3, 2025
Congratulations to all of our “You Be the Chemist” teams who attended the Regional competition this past Saturday and won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, and an honorable mention! We are so proud of you!!
Our 6th graders “met” the street sweeper they helped name! Such a fun opportunity for our students to learn more about civic engagement, and connect to their community! Thanks to Mayor Anzevino and the City of Hudson!
At the grants celebration, Mr. Davis thanked Kiwanis of Hudson for funds for our new Lego robotics kits for STEAM students! Thank you to Kiwanis for your support of Hudson youth!
Congratulations to two of our OUTSTANDING middle school students, Jess and Anne. Both were recognized at the OMLA Breakfast of Champions in Independence, for their character, leadership, scholarship, and service. They make a difference EVERY DAY at HMS!

March Kindness Month
- Throughout the entire month of March, our focus will be on kindness, empathy, and belonging which are themes of the book Play Like a Girl, by local author Misty Wilson and illustrator David Wilson, who will be visiting our school on March 20, thanks to Hudson PTO! Of course, our goal is that every month is Kindness Month at HMS! :-)

New District Nurse / Clinical Coordinator:
- We would like to introduce you to Christi Phillip, the new District Nurse/Clinical Coordinator for Hudson City Schools. Christi comes to Hudson via our partnership with Akron Children’s Hospital, and has been in school nursing for the past six years. She is eager to get to know our staff, parents, and students.
- This is also a great time to remind everyone that illnesses are still circulating this winter. Please keep students home if they are feeling ill. A student must be fever free, with no fever reducing medications, for 24 hours prior to returning to school. A student must stay home for 24 after they have vomited. Please remind students to cover their coughs with their arms and wash hands regularly with soap and water to help stop the spread of illness.
