The Week in Review at HMS: Notes from Dr. Cockley

We’ve certainly had a unique week with MLK Day on Monday, followed by two calamity days due to the cold weather! Regardless, Thursday and Friday have been outstanding days at HMS!

Honored to have HMS Builders Club officers receive the Mayor’s proclamation for Random Acts of Kindness Week at the City Council meeting this week! Thank you, Mayor Anzenvino, for recognizing how small acts can make a big difference!

Learning about the Orkeeswa School in Tanzania, and our upcoming Change for Orkeeswa fundraiser to support students attending this school! Special thanks to Dr. and Mrs. Cushner (aka “The Global Grandparents”) for sharing your photos and experiences with us!

“What will Hands of Gratitude inspire you to do for your Service Learning project?” 8th grade students learn about Hands of Gratitude and the recipients around the world who will receive the 3D printed prosthetic hands that our students will build…a truly life-changing program that serves as a model for our students’ own service projects this semester!
