The Week in Review at HMS: Notes from Dr. Cockley

Congratulations to our December Students Making a Difference! Thank you for the positive difference you make EVERY DAY in our school and community! Their teachers described them with such AMAZING words: Positive, Inclusive, Hard-Working, Kind, Dependable…and so much more!

Students in our STEAM elective class are building various types of roller coasters with paper, tape and a marble! Great collaboration and problem-solving!

Reviewing the periodic table in 6th grade Science class…through a fun game of Periodic Table Battleship! So creative!!

Research shows that a focus on gratitude has numerous physical and emotional benefits! We love seeing these student-created Mugs of Gratitude in our 7th grade wing, highlighting things our students are grateful for! Friends, family, life, oversized hoodies, the beach, summer…and many more!

Our Kindness Card bulletin board continues to grow! We love highlighting these cards on the morning announcements, starting our day with positivity. Thank you to all who take a second to make a difference for others in our school and community!
