HMS Announcements - Please feel free to visit this site daily for up-to-date announcements for our students and school!

Quarter 3 Report Cards:

  • Quarter 3 report cards will be available next Friday, 3/15, at 4:00pm in HAC.

  • Each quarter, the report card is available electronically by clicking on the Grades icon in HAC. Once there, click on the Print button in the upper right corner to view the Report Card on our official middle school report card template. You can then choose to print, save, or simply view the report card. .

  • A paper copy of the report card is sent home for the first and last quarter of the school year.

  • At Hudson Middle School, we calculate Honor Rolls for Semester 1 and Semester 2.

Campus Traffic Safety:

  • Our students have been instructed that, if they are walking home or to an after school event, they should exercise extreme caution when crossing an intersection and at crosswalks. This week, we had a report of a concern at the driveway entrance/exit from the middle school to Oviatt Street.

  • We are asking drivers to drive slowly and cautiously through our campus, alert for students who may be walking.

  • Thank you for keeping everyone safe!

2023-24 HMS Yearbook - Student Name

  • In our school yearbook, student names are typically printed as they appear on their birth certificate.

  • If the birth certificate name is OK to print for your child, you do not need to complete the form.

  • If you prefer that a different name appear in the yearbook for your child, please complete this Google Form by March 8 (for example, if your child is known by their middle name rather than their first name).

  • Thank you for your help with this as we create a book for our students that commemorates our school year together!

Starting Friday, 3/15, through Friday, 3/22, we'll hold a friendly competition among homerooms in each grade level to help inspire participation in our POE Day and Right to Read Week themed days! We truly appreciate your support, encouragement, and participation!
  • Friday: POE Shirts! Wear your Never Stop Exploring shirts to celebrate our PreK-12 community!

March Kindness Month

  • Throughout the entire month of March, our focus will be on kindness, empathy, and belonging which are themes of the book New Kid, by author and illustrator Jerry Craft, who will be visiting our school on March 19! Of course, our goal is that every month is kindness month at HMS! :-)

  • Check out our March Kindness Month schedule of events, including kindness-themed lesson plans for Team Advisory, themed dress-up days for Right to Read Week, and a day of reading/activities with New Kid on Empathetic Contributor Day (Friday, March 15) in preparation for the author visit.

  • A HUGE THANK YOU to our donors (including PTO, Kiwanis, Hudson League for Service, and the Maltz Museum) for grant funding to provide a copy of the book for EACH student! For graphic novels, this is especially important so students can interpret meaning from the text as well as the images. Students may then choose to donate their copy back to the school to benefit future students.

HMS Staff Shout Outs:

  • Has an HMS staff member made a difference for your child? We love to show appreciation for our amazing staff at HMS! Here’s an opportunity to share more personally if a staff member has made a difference, no matter how big or small. I will be sure to recognize their efforts individually and quietly.
