2023reportcard
Celebrating Hudson Middle School! On our most recent state report card, we are thrilled to share that our school ranks in the top 2% of all middle schools in Ohio (#12 out of 603) based on our Performance Index!!! This is calculated based on how well our students score on their OST's, with higher points earned as students score at levels of Accomplished, Advanced, and Advanced Plus. We are all so proud of our students and staff and families!!!

There’s no better way to start World Smile Day than with the smooth sound of our 8th graders playing a classic Earth, Wind & Fire tune - September! Huge shout-out to Hudson Community First for making the day extra special with balloons, bookmarks, and cake! We appreciate you!

We are so honored to host these Fulbright Scholars through Kent State University - incredible educators representing their home countries and learning about American education. In turn, they are sharing their experience with us, and we get to learn alongside of them!  After visiting classrooms throughout our district, we are humbled to share their perspective of our students as such well-behaved, kind, thoughtful students. They noted the incredible support in our district, the respectful communication among students and staff, and the consistency of our districtwide expectations: Be Responsible, Be Respectful and Be Ready.

Sculpture students create artwork centered on their artist study and Citizens of the World project! Love these inspirational pieces!

Students self-select an article under the Geography theme Human Environment Interaction, in 6th grade Social Studies. They then share the article details with their peers in rotation groups!

One more photo from last week’s Portrait of an Explorer Day! One of our 6th grade communities visited EWIS - they had such a great day making connections and gardening with East Woods students!
